DAVIE, Fla. (AP) The contracts of defensive end Quinton Coples and cornerback Brice McCain have been terminated by the Miami Dolphins, saving the team about $10 million in salary cap space.

Coples, a former first-round draft pick, was acquired off waivers from the New York Jets in November and played in six games as a reserve. McCain, a seven-year veteran, spent one season with Miami and started 11 games in 2015.

The Dolphins made the moves Friday.
