Colts vs Chargers: Week 3 Where to Watch

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Indianapolis Colts host the San Diego Chargers this afternoon and we’ve got everything you need to be ready for gametime.

The Colts are desperate to avoid an 0-3 start and need a win today if they want to maintain any hopes of a playoff chance alive. Only five teams in the Super Bowl era have made the postseason with an 0-3 start and none since 1998 when the Bills did it.

The Colts are still struggling with injuries, but now it has spread to both sides of the ball. The Colts are without Donte Moncrief for the next few weeks after he suffered a fractured scapula against the Broncos. Andrew Luck was also on the injury report this week and while he said he would play, he was officially listed as questionable.

The good news on the injury front is that the Colts might see Henry Anderson and Vontae Davis make their season debuts today. Which is great news as the two are easily the Colts best defensive players.

The Colts discussed making some defensive scheme changes including unleashing a three-headed monster at safety. This would essentially put Clayton Geathers at nickel linebacker while T.J. Green and Mike Adams play deep coverage. This is a great idea since the Colts linebackers are terrible in coverage.

We spoke with the editors of Bolt Beat to get some inside info on the team. You can hear what they had to say here, and check out our answers over at their site.
