The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent defensive lineman Camaron Beard to a contract, the team announced Tuesday.
Beard, an Indianapolis native, played collegiately at the University of Cincinnati. He appeared in 47 games for the Bearcats, finishing with 75 tackles, two sacks and and one forced fumble. Beard played high school football for Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound Beard attend the Colts’ three-day rookie minicamp in May on a tryout basis after going undrafted.

To make room for Beard, the team waived cornerback Al-Hajj Shabazz, who signed with the team last month.
