Chiefs backup Gray out for year after hurting knee
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Kansas City Chiefs backup running back and special teams player Cyrus Gray will miss the remainder of the season after tearing a knee ligament in a 17-13 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Coach Andy Reid announced the injury following the game without specifying which knee Gray hurt. Reid also announced backup tight end Demetrius Harris will miss a few weeks after breaking a bone in his foot before the game.
Reid didn't reveal when or how Harris was hurt.
Tight end Anthony Fasano sustained a bruised knee, while receiver Junior Hemingway did not return after bruising his hip covering a punt return in the fourth quarter.
For Buffalo, backup receiver Marquise Goodwin did not return after hurting his ribs during a kickoff return in the fourth quarter.
