Chicago Bears have drafted eight Pro Bowlers in last decade

According to a study that ties draft picks to Pro Bowl appearances over the last decade, the selections made by the Chicago Bears over the years rank among the league's best.

NFL Media editor Jim Reineking took a look back at the past 10 draft classes (excluding the 2015 class, which hasn't taken the field yet) and counted the number of Pro Bowl appearances players selected during that span have made. The Chicago Bears and the Cleveland Browns have both drafted eight Pro Bowlers, tying them for the 10th-best ranking in the NFL.

Chicago's Pro Bowl draft picks are as follows: Kyle Long (Class of 2013), Alshon Jeffery (2012), Henry Melton (2009), Johnny Knox (2009), Matt Forte (2008), Greg Olsen (2007), Corey Graham (2007), Devin Hester (2006).

"During his nine-year career, Hester has been one of the NFL's most dangerous return specialists. Hester was a three-time Pro Bowler while with the Bears, went three seasons without being picked, and then made a Pro Bowl return in 2014 as a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Long, meanwhile, has been a Pro Bowl selection in each of his two NFL seasons," Reineking wrote about the Bears' selections.

Notable members of this list, such as Hester, have found success with new teams. Olsen, for example, signed with the Carolina Panthers back in 2011 and made his first Pro Bowl just last season. Others, like Forte, are still kicking for the Bears.
