Bills getting healthier at RB: Brown, Dixon return to practice
There's just over two weeks until the regular season kicks off, which means the Buffalo Bills have two weeks to get much healthier than they currently are.
Injuries have decimated both the wide receiver and running back positions, leading to the backups getting most of the reps in practice and the preseason.
That could soon change as the Bills are beginning to get healthier at running back. According to ESPN's Mike Rodak, both Bryce Brown and Anthony Dixon returned to practice on Thursday. It's still unclear how much they participated, however.
McCoy is expected to be back for Week 1 as he recovers from a hamstring injury, but if he's unable to go in the season opener, the Bills will need someone to take his place. Both Brown and Dixon are candidates, as are Fred Jackson and Karlos Williams, if healthy.
It's a good sign to see the two running backs make their way back to the field as the Bills are desperate for depth at the position. Now they just need to stay healthy until the regular season begins.
