Bills CB Leodis McKelvin returns to practice

There are several injury questions for the Buffalo Bills as they're set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday.

One bit of good news, however, is that cornerback Leodis McKelvin returned to practice for the first time since training camp. He was placed on the non-football injury list before the season started due to a lingering ankle injury, and after sitting out six weeks, he's now eligible to be activated by the Bills.

If he's not activated within 21 days, he'll remain on the NFI list for the remainder of the season, though with McKelvin already practicing, that doesn't appear to be an issue. When asked when he'll be activated, Rex Ryan said, "We'll see. We're going to be smart with him."

When McKelvin does return, though, he'll likely find himself further down on the depth chart than he was last season with rookie Ronald Darby playing at such a high level. Darby has shined as the No. 2 cornerback next to Stephon Gilmore, though McKelvin should see plenty of time on the field as a nickel corner.
