Bills sign K Billy Cundiff and WR Denarius Moore

The Buffalo Bills continued the kicking carousel around the NFL on Wednesday by signing veteran kicker Billy Cundiff, while they also added to their depth at wide receiver with Denarius Moore.

Current Bills kicker Dan Carpenter remained on the roster even after the Cundiff signing, but his job may be in jeopardy. He was just 3-of-6 on field goal attempts in the preseason and has missed two field goals and one extra point in the regular season.

Cundiff was last with the Cleveland Browns in 2014 when he made 22-of-29 field goal attempts before being released in December. To make room for Cundiff, the Bills released kickoff specialist Jordan Gay.

As for Moore, he came into the league as a fifth-round pick with the Oakland Raiders in 2011. He spent three years in Oakland where he started 35 games before signing a one-year deal with the Cincinnati Bengals before the 2014 season.

He was cut by the Bengals before the 2015 regular season kicked off, but he certainly has talent -- and speed. In his career, Moore has caught 142 passes for 2,169 yards and 17 touchdowns. With Sammy Watkins dealing with a calf injury, Moore adds to depth at the position. Wide receiver Marcus Thigpen was released to make room for Moore on the 53-man roster.
