Buccaneers draft devoted to helping Jameis realize potential

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay's draft is all about trying to help Jameis Winston be successful.

The young quarterback figures to benefit from the selection of defensive players with the team's first two picks. Adding kicker Roberto Aguayo late in the second round could be a significant upgrade, too.

Cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III and pass rusher Noah Spence address needs on a defense that allowed opponents to complete 70 percent of passes and throw for 31 touchdowns last season. Aguayo is a former college teammate of Winston who didn't miss a field goal attempt inside 40 yards and made all 198 of his extra points at Florida State.

General manager Jason Licht and coach Dirk Koetter say they'll continue to seek defensive help on Saturday, when the Bucs currently have four picks - one in the fourth and fifth rounds, and two in the sixth.
