Broncos kicker throws challenge flag on Tucker's claim he might make 84-yard FG in Denver

On Thursday's edition of the NFL Network's "Good Morning Football," co-host Kyle Brandt asked Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker, "What is the longest attempt you would be willing to try in a game?"

Tucker answered that if conditions were prime in the altitude at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, "Maybe 84 and a half yards." Tucker added that last September when the Ravens played in Denver, he hit the crossbar from 85 yards during warmups.

The person who's probably most qualified to assess kicking and meteorological conditions in Denver -- who was there for that Ravens-Broncos game -- is Broncos kicker Brandon McManus, and he isn't buying it.

Said McManus via 9News:

“I will give him an all-expense paid trip if he can do it. I’ll pay for his flight, his hotel, if he wants to come out here and do it. I’ll kick with him, I’ll witness it and I’ll vouch to the world that he can do it.’’

McManus said he did watch Tucker hit from the mid-70s range in warmups, but at such a low trajectory that the balls would have struck defensive lineman if the attempts were made in a game. Tucker's career-long in an NFL game is 61 yards (2013 at Detroit).

It's hard to tell if this is the start of a kicker beef, but if so, let's be glad Tucker is involved because it will be hilarious.
