Broncos helped set a trend by moving training camp back home

It wasn't too long ago that every NFL team traveled for their summer training camp.

Today, over 60 percent of the league's teams stay put at their training facilities -- a move sparked by the Broncos decision to remain in Dove Valley in 2003.

For 21 seasons, the Broncos called the University of Northern Colorado their summer camp home. But they built a state-of-the-art training facility in 2003, and soon after decided to use it to its fullest for camp.

20 other teams followed suit. And with the Broncos attracting huge numbers to take in practice (thanks in part to Tebowmania and Peyton Manning's arrival), that trend is bound to continue.
