Fresh off his biggest game of the season, Denver Broncos running back C.J. Anderson apparently won’t be in the lineup for the foreseeable future.

Anderson is expected to miss at least a few weeks with a right knee injury he suffered during the Broncos' win Monday night, and he’s going to get a second opinion to see if he might be out even longer, NFL Network reported Wednesday.

Anderson had a big bounce-back performance against the Texans on Monday, rushing for a season-high 107 yards and a touchdown on just 16 carries. It was his most productive outing since Week 1, when he ran for 92 yards and a touchdown.

Anderson took to Twitter to thank everyone for their well-wishes.

Rookie Devontae Booker is the Broncos' backup running back and has been very effective the past two weeks, averaging 5.9 yards per carry during that span.
