Brandon Marshall: Jets 'will be my last team'
By Steve DelVecchio
It will look rather strange to see Brandon Marshall in a New York Jets uniform this upcoming season, but green and white are the last colors he plans to wear in the NFL.
Marshall answered some questions for his Twitter followers late Thursday night, and one of the things he revealed is that the Jets will be his last team — even if he doesn’t play a down for them.
Marshall did not say he would not sign another contract after his current deal expires in 2017. He only said that New York will be his last stop, so the 31-year-old could play a few more seasons if he remains healthy.
Marshall also told his followers that he would rather win a Super Bowl than be in the Hall of Fame.
As we learned a few weeks ago, Marshall and Jets quarterback Geno Smith have been living together this offseason. I can’t help but get the feeling that Marshall’s time in New York will either be tremendous for the team’s offense or a total disaster. There’s no telling how Smith would react if Marshall pulled one of these moves on him.
