Bills' McGee out few weeks with hamstring injury

Published Sep. 12, 2011 5:42 p.m. ET

Buffalo Bills veteran cornerback Terrence McGee is out indefinitely after hurting his left hamstring on the first play of the team's season opener.

Coach Chan Gailey on Monday ruled out McGee from playing this weekend against Oakland, and says the player is expected to miss a few weeks. McGee was hurt in a 41-7 win at Kansas City on Sunday, when he pulled up and held his left hamstring immediately following Leonard Pope's 15-yard reception. The hamstring had been bothering McGee the entire week leading up to the game.

Receiver Marcus Easley has also been ruled out this weekend because of an undisclosed illness that forced him to miss the opener. Gailey wouldn't say what the illness is, but says he requires more tests.
