Bills coach Ryan unsure if Gilmore can play against Eagles

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan isn't sure whether starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore can recover from a shoulder injury in time to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Ryan called the chances of Gilmore playing ''a stretch,'' but added it was premature to rule him out. Gilmore was hurt while tackling Houston running back Akeem Hunt in the third quarter of Buffalo's 30-21 win Sunday.

Ryan did not have a definitive update on backup cornerback Ron Brooks (shoulder) or linebacker Tony Steward (back), who were hurt against Houston.

Ryan said it's likely linebacker Nigel Bradham will miss his second straight game with a sprained right ankle.

He's hopeful rookie running back Karlos Williams (left shoulder) and starting right tackle Seantrel Henderson (illness) will return after both missed one game.
