New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick might have to appear in court during the double murder trial of former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Belichick’s name was added to a list of possible witnesses who could be called to testify filed Tuesday by Hernandez’s defense. New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had also been named as a potential witness.

Jury selection is underway for the trial, and opening statements are scheduled for March 1.

Hernandez, who was convicted of the 2013 first-degree murder Odin Lloyd in 2015 and is currently serving a life sentence, is charged with also killing Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in 2012. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to the drive-by slayings.
