Ravens WR took hit when agent went bankrupt?

Baltimore Ravens veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin claims he lost the chance to recoup $220,000 when his former agent went bankrupt, TMZ reported Tuesday.

Boldin said that he loaned Darrell Eugene Wills around $170,000 to set up a sports management agency in 2004, on the condition that he be repaid with interest and a reduction in his agency fee.

But the firm failed, and Wills was left in ruin and apparently unable to pay back the loan.

Boldin filed a lawsuit against Wills in bankruptcy court in Tallahassee, Fla., but a judge apparently ruled that Wills was too crippled financially to repay his debts.

The 31-year-old former Pro Bowl selection missed the final two games of the regular season after having knee surgery on a torn meniscus three days before Christmas but has returned in time for Sunday’s divisional playoff game against the Houston Texans.
