It's safe to assume that the front office, the coaches and of course the fans are all anxiously awaiting their first chance to see rookie running back Tevin Coleman in action. Fortunately, Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the time may nearly be here.

As McClure explains, Dan Quinn tipped the media off that Coleman is indeed expected to play in the Atlanta Falcons' third preseason game against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday.

"At this point, it looks like Tevin is a little closer than Devonta, just from the week of practice," Quinn told ESPN following Thursday's practice. "I'm anxious for (Coleman) to get in. And I know he's anxious."

"I'm anticipating him being ready to rock," Quinn said.

Both RB Devonta Freeman and Coleman have been dealing with hamstring strains are still battling for the No. 1 running back job. Obviously, getting into action first for Coleman will likely be a good thing, especially if he can make his presence felt right out of the gate.

One thing that's certain is that fans will be ready to see what the new back can do in his first action on Saturday, even if it's limited.
