Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb has thousands of fans, but only one led the NBA in blocks each of the past two seasons.
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis was at Lambeau Field on Sunday night, when the Packers took on the Seattle Seahawks. Davis, a Kentucky product, was there supporting another former Wildcat in Cobb, per the Packers’ official Twitter account.
Cobb and Davis never actually shared the University of Kentucky campus. During the 2011-12 college basketball season, Davis was named the consensus Player of the Year for leading his Wildcats to a win in the national championship as a freshman. Cobb, on the other hand, had just completed his rookie year with the Packers.
Davis went first overall in the ensuing NBA Draft, but the two Kentucky athletes still maintain their connection.
