Air Force, Colorado to resume series after 46-year drought

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) Air Force and Colorado will face off on the football field in 2020, ending a 46-year drought in the series.

The Falcons will visit Boulder on Sept. 12, 2020, and the Buffaloes will visit the Academy on Sept. 10, 2022.

The last game between the schools was at Air Force on Oct. 5, 1974, with Colorado winning 28-27.

In 2020, Colorado will play both Air Force and Colorado State in the same season for the first time since 1958.

Colorado also announced two other schedule changes after San Jose State opted out of a home-and-home series in 2017 and '18, an agreement that was made before Colorado joined the Pac-12.

Texas State will visit Boulder Sept. 9, 2017, and New Hampshire will visit Folsom Field Sept. 15, 2018.
