But tight end Julius Thomas, with 10 touchdown receptions, was inactive with a knee injury. The Broncos' other inactives were running back Ronnie Hillman, cornerback Champ Bailey, safety Michael Huff, center J.D. Walton, guard Chris Kuper and quarterback Zac Dysert.

Inactive for the Patriots were: safety Steve Gregory, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, offensive lineman Chris Barker, wide receiver Josh Boyce and defensive linemen Jake Bequette and Marcus Forston.
