Chargers put Larry English on IR

The San Diego Chargers have placed outside linebacker Larry English on season-ending injured reserve with a foot injury.

It's the latest setback for English, who hasn't lived up to his billing as the team's 2009 first-round draft pick. He also was slowed by a foot injury last year.

To take his spot on the active roster, the Chargers signed tackle Stephen Schilling from the practice squad. The team also re-signed running back Jordan Todman to the practice squad.
