Offense

The transition is complete to a more versatile offense. They have enough targets that allow them to put together a diverse passing game. will be a solid fit at tight end. And now is starting at running back. That gives the more quickness and versatility in the backfield. will remain a factor — especially down the stretch. The big concern is the offense line. can't seem to find consistency at right tackle. is fighting his way back to health and is playing on a degenerative knee.

Defense

I still have questions about the secondary. I don't see how a rookie strong safety can bolster their pass defense. But Troy Polomalu will certainly make his presence felt with his physical skills. The problems remain at cornerback. can play at a high level when he stays focused. But is shaky on the other side. Rookie Ivan Taylor will eventually push for a big role, but it might not be till next season.

Special Teams

They have some questions lingering here, but the should be adequate across the board. Former Lion will become the new leader of the coverage units.

Coaching

Bill Cowher remains a strong motivator surrounded by a very strong staff that develops and teaches extremely well. The could make an argument for having the league's most balanced staff.

The Bottom Line

The will remain among the most feared teams in the AFC, but the competition is growing. They will tough in any home playoff contests. Ultimately, everything comes down to how their defense matches up against the pass.
