Offense

The have no questions with superstar RB . But the passing game hasn't found consistency. A lot of people pin all of Miami's offensive problems on quarterback . But Fiedler has proven he can execute within this offense and make use of the talent around him. is an underrated addition to the passing game. He brings steady toughness to the intermediate passing game. and can create matchup problems. Now they must deliver when called upon in clutch situations. Durability remains a concern along the offensive line.

Defense

I like the intangibles Miami has added here. , , and bring a lot of "championship mental edge" to the equation. That takes a lot of pressure off and . Expect this defense to play with an attitude. It can stop the run, shut down an opponent's passing game and generate turnovers.

Special teams

This group needs to rebound and recapture its past consistency — especially kicker . The return units are up in the air again, but they have some talent to work with this year. And the coverage units remain an uncertainty.

Coaching

Dave Wannstedt finds himself under the gun this year. Although he has a great relationship with ownership, there's a lot of pressure for him to make a serious Super Bowl push. Wannstedt's coaching staff is filled with a lot of good teachers.

The bottom line

Nothing less then the AFC championship game will be acceptable this season. The talent is present for Miami to make a deep run through the playoffs. It's all about attitude for the now, and whether they have it under Wannstedt or not.
