Nine-time Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed was inactive for the second straight game for the Texans against the Titans.

Reed, who the Texans signed in the offseason, is recovering from April hip surgery. He was taken off the physically unable to perform list on Aug. 31 and has been practicing with the team. He said this week that he was better but still sore. Shiloh Keo will start for Reed.

Receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) was inactive for the Titans. Also inactive for Tennessee were running back Shonn Greene, linebacker Zaviar Gooden, center Brian Schwenke, tackle Byron Stingily and defensive ends Keyunta Dawson and Lavar Edwards.

Other inactives for Houston were quarterback Case Keenum, running back Cierre Wood, linebacker Sam Montgomery, tackle Andrew Gardner, guard Cody White and defensive end Tim Jamison.
