Redskins' Atogwe, Panthers' Goodson inactive

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP)

Washington Redskins starting safety Oshiomogho Atogwe is out with a knee injury against the Carolina Panthers.

Atogwe was hurt last week against Philadelphia. Reed Doughty will start in a secondary that will also be without cornerback Byron Westbrook, who was ruled out after hurting a hamstring in practice Wednesday.

The team was also without starting offensive tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and tight end Chris Cooley (finger).

Washington's other inactives are receiver Donte Stallworth, linebacker Markus White and defensive lineman Darrion Scott.

Carolina's inactives are quarterback Jimmy Clausen, safety Jordan Pugh, running back Mike Goodson, tight end Richie Brockel, linebacker Omar Gaither, offensive tackle Lee Ziemba and defensive tackle Frank Kearse.
