FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP)

The New England Patriots have released tight end Bo Scaife and offensive lineman Mike Ingersoll.

Both players cut on Tuesday had been signed as free agents this month.

Scaife played six of his seven seasons with the Tennessee Titans, catching 251 passes for 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns in 90 games. He spent last year on the Cincinnati Bengals injured reserve list because of a neck injury then signed with the Patriots on June 7.

Ingersoll, signed on June 11, hasn't played in the NFL. He signed as a rookie free agent with the Kansas City Chiefs out of North Carolina last year but was released after training camp. He was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad in December.
