Reports: Brady may have fractured foot

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady played the entire 2010 season with a foot injury that “could be termed a fracture,” Comcast SportsNet New England reported Wednesday.

It was one of two reports, each citing two sources, that the Patriots QB has been dealing with a stress fracture in his foot since before the start of the season.

Brady did not display any signs that the injury was holding him back Sunday in the Patriot's AFC divisional playoff loss to the New York Jets. One source told CSNNE.com that to say the injury impacted Brady’s play in the game would be “unjust.”

John Dennis and Gerry Callahan, during their Dennis and Callahan Show on Boston sports radio station WEEI, said they were told by two separate sources about the alleged foot fracture, NESN.com reported. The radio hosts were quick to note the reports were unconfirmed and the two sources were not close to Brady.

Brady has yet to confirm whether we will play in the Pro Bowl on Jan. 30, but he did say on Monday’s Dennis and Callahan appearance he might not attend the game, fueling speculation about the alleged injury.

Brady led the NFL this season with a remarkable 111.0 passer rating. He threw a league-leading 36 touchdowns compared to four interceptions as he led the Patriots to a 14-2 record.
