New York Jets safety Kerry Rhodes has been fined $5,000 by the NFL for throwing a ball into the stands following an interception against Carolina. After the first of his two interceptions in the Jets' 17-6 win on Sunday, Rhodes tossed the ball into the crowd after he reached the team's bench. Earlier in the week Rhodes had been demoted from the starting lineup in favor of Eric Smith. St. Louis running back Steven Jackson was fined Thursday for a similar infraction after he threw a ball into the stands following a loss to Seattle.
