Scratch the Washington from the hunt. The on Friday traded a fourth-round draft pick and guard for St. Louis running back , the ' first choice in the 2000 draft. Canidate is expected to be the ' top running back, ahead of last year's second-round pick, . Canidate played sparingly last year and lost the backup running back job to rookie . Canidate's best season was 2001 when he ran for 441 yards, including 195 in his first career start. It marked the most yards in a career start since Gerald Riggs ran for 202 yards in his rookie debut with Atlanta in 1984. But the didn't stop there. They're expected to announce Friday that they've reached agreement with offensive lineman , released by the San Francisco earlier this week. Fiore can play guard or tackle and was the ' starter at left guard last year before he was left the third game with a knee injury. He finished the season on injured reserve. The additions of Fiore and Canidate fill holes for Washington, which was desperate at the guard position and which released starting running back earlier this week. Washington was expected to choose between Fiore and New York ' guard , but sources close to the club said it reached a deal with Fiore first.
