Houston Texans strong safety C.C. Brown will take a free-agent visit tomorrow with the New York Giants, a source told Brown, 26, has started 44 games in his first four NFL seasons with the Texans. While run support is considered his forte, Brown had eight passes defensed and an interception during the 2007 campaign. He only appeared in three games last season after being placed on injured reserve with a fractured forearm. The Giants are seeking a replacement at strong safety for starter James Butler, who is likely to leave via free agency. New York also released veteran backup Sammy Knight last month. New York has made defense the focus of its free-agent endeavors, already signing linebacker Michael Boley (Atlanta) and linemen Chris Canty (Dallas) and Rocky Bernard (Seattle) to contracts.
