The New York Giants have taken Eric Herman of Ohio University with the first of their two picks in the seventh round.

Herman was the second lineman the Giants (9-7) took for their aging offensive line. They drafted tackle Justin Pugh of Syracuse in the first round.

The only line starter under 30-years-old for New York is left tackle Will Beatty.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pounder Herman started all 13 games last season, helping the Bobcats average 203.31 yards rushing.
