A day after signing veteran linebacker Aaron Curry, the New York Giants capped a two-day minicamp for rookies and free agents by signing five players and waiving six others.

The Giants announced Saturday that the group of signees included two veterans and three rookies who performed well in the camp.

Defensive tackle Frank Okam and tight end Michael Palmer were the veterans signed, while receiver Jeremy Horne of Massachusetts and defensive backs Junior Mertile of Florida International and John Stevenson of Georgia Southern were the rookies.

Waived were tackle Levy Adcock, receiver Marcus Davis, defensive back Buddy Jackson, linebacker Charleus Dieseul, defensive tackle Bobby Skinner and kicker Jake Rogers.

Okam played for Houston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Palmer played for Atlanta the previous three seasons.
