Denver Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil left Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers with a left shoulder injury and did not return.

PAIN TRAIN

Injuries are a part of football, but these players have been hit particularly hard.

''We'll evaluate that moving forward but that was our only injury of the game,'' Broncos coach John Fox said following Denver's 36-14 win over Carolina.

Dumervil has six sacks this season.

He had two tackles and a forced fumble before leaving Sunday midway through the second quarter. He was replaced by Robert Ayers and the Broncos didn't miss a beat. Denver sacked Cam Newton seven times, including once for a safety and forced him into two interceptions.
