Dallas signs Marcus Spears, Steve Octavien

IRVING, Texas (AP)

Defensive end Marcus Spears and linebacker Steve Octavien have signed their tender offers to remain with the Dallas Cowboys for another season.

Spears was one of the Cowboys' two first-round draft picks in 2005, the 20th overall. He started in 15 of 16 2009 games and made 50 tackles with 2 1/2 and 16 quarterback pressures.

Octavien tied for fourth on the Cowboys with 12 special teams tackles in 14 games.
