INDIANAPOLIS (AP)

The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent receiver Donnie Avery.

The move completes a frantic day of change for the Colts, who lost center Jeff Saturday to Green Bay and tight end Jacob Tamme to Denver, traded for quarterback Drew Stanton and lost offensive lineman Ryan Diem, who retired.

Avery has started 28 games and has 103 receptions for 1,308 and nine TDs since being St. Louis' second-round pick, No. 33 overall, in 2008. He played last season with Tennessee and has had injury issues in his career.
