Bush breaks through for Saints
Hurricane Reggie finally hit land in New Orleans Sunday, and Saints fans were only to happy to welcome it.
Reggie Bush, showing the form the Saints hoped to see when they made him their top draft choice in 2006, turned a swing pass into a 42-yard, game-winning touchdown as the Saints fought off Tampa Bay in the Superdome.
Bush finished with 112 yards receiving and 51 rushing and Drew Brees threw for 343 yards and 3 touchdowns in the victory.
Linebacker Scott Fujita made a clinching interception for the Saints in the final minute.

News: With Deuce McAllister suspended for the rest of the regular season, Thomas is now the team's No. 2 running back behind Reggie Bush. [+]
Impact: Though Thomas had already unofficially passed McAllister on the depth chart, he now doesn't have to compete with the veteran for carries. With the team still likely to be a bit cautious with Reggie Bush, who is recovering from a serious knee injury, we expect Thomas to see a significant number of carries this weekend against the Falcons. ( RotoWire - Tue. Dec 2, 2008) |
News: McCallister was among six players suspended for four games Tuesday by the NFL for using a diuretic, which can serve as a masking agent for steroids. [+]
Impact: McCallister didn't have much of a fantasy impact this season, and with Reggie Bush returning to full strength, he wouldn't have factored in much down the stretch. ( STATS - Tue. Dec 2, 2008) |
