Impact: Shaun Hill spread the ball around Sunday, completing passes to nine different receivers. Bailey had a forgettable day, and he remains nothing more than a desperation flex for next Sunday's season finale against Seattle.
News: Mason had 13 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Giants.
Impact: The Rams were not able to run the ball as frequently as they would have liked, but Mason ran very with with his limited opportunities, averaging 5.8 yards per carry. He'll face a much tougher test in the Rams' Week 17 finale against Seattle.
News: Gaines suffered a concussion and lacerated lip during Sunday's loss to the Giants, ESPN's Nick Wagoner reports.
Impact: Gaines, a sixth-round rookie, has started every game this season. He finished Sunday's contest with three tackles (two solo) and a pass defensed, giving him 70 tackles (63 solo), two interceptions, a fumble recovery and 15 passes defensed for the season. If Gaines can't play in Week 17 against the Seahawks, nickleback Trumaine Johnson will likely work in an every-down role.
News: Long (ankle) is listed as active Sunday versus the Giants, Myle Simmons of the Rams' official site reports.
Impact: Long has increased his percentage of defense snaps in three consecutive games, since returning to action in Week 13, taking the field for 48-of-68 snaps (70.6 percent) in the Rams' last outing on Dec. 11. With four solo tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery to date, though, he has yet to uphold his standard from previous seasons.
News: Gaines was carted off after getting his helmet knocked off in a collision with teammate T.J. McDonald late in the third quarter Sunday. Gaines was sidelined with a left shoulder injury earlier in the first quarter, but returned in the second quarter. The Rams were examining him for a concussion after the second injury.
Impact: Gaines got struck trying to make an interception on a pass by Eli Manning and was bleeding from the lip. He tried to leave the field after getting medical treatment, then went down to a knee after taking a few steps, and the team's medical staff called for the cart.
News: Wide receiver Preston Parker and defensive end Damontre' Moore were ejected for New York while Hayes was booted.
Impact: Alec Ogletree carried his tackle well past the sideline and flung Odell Beckham Jr. to the turf near the Giants bench late in the first half Sunday. Beckham tried to hit Ogletree with the football in the facemask, Ogletree slapped Beckham in the facemask and Beckham tried to kick the linebacker, who was backing away when he got jumped by Parker. Moore and Hayes exchanged punches.
