News: Tannehill completed 12 of 15 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Panthers.
Impact: Following a strong performance in Miami's first preseason game, Tannehill led the first-team offense to two touchdown on three drives Saturday night, capping off his last series with an 11-yard scoring pass to RB Damien Williams. Even if first-round draft pick DeVante Parker (foot) isn't ready by Week 1, Tannehill should have the best supporting cast he's ever played with.

News: Tannehill had trouble with the deep ball during practice Thursday, according to the Miami Herald.
Impact: In fairness, it was the first day of training camp, but it's worth mentioning, given that Tannehill has had issues with the deep ball at times in the past. Per the report, after missing on a couple of deep shots in practice, the QB stayed on the field afterward to work on deep passes with several receivers. In any case, the Dolphins have made a commitment to Tannehill by signing him through the 2020 campaign and this season he'll be working with a re-tooled pass-catching corps that returns wideout Jarvis Landry, but also welcomes newcomers DeVante Parker, Kenny Stills, Greg Jennings and tight end Jordan Cameron.
