News: The Denver Broncos bolstered their tight end corps by singing Gordon.
Impact: This is the third AFC West team for Gordon, a 28-year-old who has played in 34 NFL games since being drafted by the Raiders in 2011 out of the University of Miami. Gordon, who also plays special teams and fullback, spent two seasons in Oakland before joining the Steelers, then playing for the Titans and Chiefs last season.

News: Gordon (ankle) was placed on injured reserve by the Chiefs on Saturday, ESPN reports.
Impact: Gordon didn't stand much chance to make the 53-man roster, but an ankle injury suffered Saturday was enough to buy him a spot on injured reserve. He'll miss the 2015 season, and would become a free agent in the offseason.

News: Gordon suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's preseason game against the Rams, Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star reports.
Impact: Gordon continues to battle for a 53-man roster spot, but the ankle injury heading into cuts Saturday doesn't bode well. He was already likely on the outside looking in, and the ankle injury could further diminish his chances.
