News: Stacy had 19 carries for 71 yards with a touchdown and fumble in Sunday's 19-17 win at Tampa Bay. Impact: Stacy wasn't targeted in the passing game, but easily outproduced Benny Cunningham, who had six carries for just 15 yards. Stacy's demise has been a little exaggerated, but he'll need better ball security to fully hold off Cunningham.(RotoWire, )

News: Stacy had 11 carries for 43 rushing yards and one catch on two targets for eight receiving yards Sunday against the Vikings. Impact: Benny Cunningham appeared to be closing in on more touches out of the backfield, and while Stacy's 11 carries weren't plentiful, they were more than double Cunningham's five (which he turned into 21 yards). The Rams were dominated throughout the game, so they had to abandon the run rather early, which obviously limited Stacy's potential production. It should be noted that Cunningham caught four passes on four targets for 30 yards, and if he's going to be playing on passing downs, or catching passes when the Rams are losing, he could still be a factor in many PPR leagues, as Stacy caught only 26 passes last season. If the Rams keep playing like they did on Sunday, they could be passing quite a bit this season, regardless of who is under center.(RotoWire, )

News: Stacy and Benny Cunningham were both getting reps with the first-team offense in pre-game warmups, but Stacy appears to be the first option, per ESPN NFL's Nick Wagoner. Impact: Stacy's status as the top running back has been a little cloudy in the preseason, after he didn't start a preseason game so that the team could evaluate Cunningham with the first-team offense. This report makes it sound like Stacy is still set to get the first carries, but we'll need to see how the touches are distributed, or if a hot hand emerges, in Week 1.(RotoWire, )

News: Running backs coach Ben Sirmans indicated that he wouldn't be surprised to see Stacy, who remains listed atop the Rams' posted depth chart, take the team's first snaps at the position Sunday against the Vikings, the St. Louis Post Dispatch reports. Impact: After a preseason in which Stacy ran 15 times for 39 yards, it will be worth monitoring how the team's carries are divided in Week 1. Benny Cunningham's solid preseason effort could earn him added work early on, with third-round draft pick Tre Mason currently listed third on the team's depth chart. While there has been some talk that the team could go with a hot hand approach as the season rolls on, we'd expect that Stacy will be given a chance by the Rams, out of the gate, to lead the way and build off a 2013 campaign in which recorded 250 carries for 973 yards and eight overall TDs in 14 games. "We have guys who can complement Zac. And push him," Sirmans noted with regard to the team's RB corps. "It's as talented and competitive a bunch as I've coached, and each guy seems to bring a little something different to the table. So depending on the situation, any one of these guys could be called on."(RotoWire, )
