News: Eifert (elbow) has been placed on the Bengals' injured reserve/designated to return list, ESPN reports. Impact: Eifert suffered a gruesome-looking dislocated elbow during the first half of the Bengals' season opener and now won't be eligible to return until Cincinnati's Week 11 game in New Orleans. As a result, fellow tight end Jermaine Gresham should experience a welcomed boost in his fantasy stock, as he could rival running back Gio Bernard to be the second option in the Bengals' passing game behind star wideout A.J. Green.(RotoWire, )

News: The Bengals believe that Eifert dislocated his elbow Sunday against the Ravens, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports. Impact: Such an injury would sideline him for some time, so if the fears are justified, Breer suggests that Eifert could be a candidate for the team's IR-designated for return designation, which would rule him out through Week 8. Such a scenario would would of course boost the value of fellow Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham, with WR Brandon Tate also in line for some possible extra snaps.(RotoWire, )

News: Eifert exited Sunday's game against the Ravens with an elbow injury, NFL Network's Albert Breer reports. Impact: Eifert went down after making a catch and possibly suffered a dislocated elbow. The second-year tight end has since been taken to the Bengals' locker room for further evaluation and is now considered doubtful to return to action. Prior to exiting Sunday's game, Eifert led the Bengals with three catches for 37 yards. Should Eifert be sidelined for the remainder of Week 1, Jermaine Gresham should benefit from facing significantly less competition for targets at tight end.(RotoWire, )

News: Eifert (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Impact: Eifert assuaged most of the concern about his shoulder injury by practicing fully all week, but with Jermaine Gresham still around to steal reps at tight end, it's still difficult to buy into him as a clear-cut starting option in fantasy leagues for Week 1. Given his physical gifts, as well as the presence of A.J. Green on the outside to occupy most of the attention from the defense, Eifert certainly has the ability to break out in his sophomore season. However, Gresham may need to miss time with an injury in order to truly feel bullish about Eifert's prospects.(RotoWire, )

News: Eifert (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game against the Ravens after practicing fully all week, the Bengals' official site reports. Impact: Eifert is set to work in tandem with fellow TE Jermaine Gresham in Week 1, a potential timeshare that could turn both players into hit-or-miss fantasy options out of the gate.(RotoWire, )

News: Eifert, who missed the Bengals' final three preseason games due to a shoulder injury, practiced fully Wednesday, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "I'm good, I'm 100 percent," Eifert said Wednesday. "I spent the last couple of weeks rehabbing and I feel good." Impact: Despite not being able to practice or play the last few weeks, Eifert indicated that he will be ready for action in Sunday's game against the Ravens. "Obviously I would have liked to have had those reps during practice, but I think I did a good job taking notes and getting my mental reps," Eifert added. "I'll be ready." Eifert is thus on track to work in tandem with fellow TE Jermaine Gresham in Week 1, barring any setbacks.(RotoWire, )
