News: Smith caught 3-of-5 targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-7 win over the Falcons. Impact: After long-snapper Morgan Cox suffered a torn ACL, Baltimore surprisingly scored on a 4th-and-9 from the Atlanta 39-yard line while nursing a 15-point lead in the final two minutes of the game. The unexpected touchdown grab saved Smith's fantasy day, as he was otherwise unable to build on last week's 4-51-2 receiving line. He still finished with his best yardage total of the season but failed to top three receptions for the sixth time in seven games. He also drew his league-leading seventh defensive pass interference penalty, and while he thus far hasn't been bad for the Ravens, Smith is on pace for just 41 receptions and 91 targets, after recording 65 and 139, respectively, last year. His catch rate is still an issue, though it helps that he's above 17 yards per reception for a third straight season.(RotoWire, )

News: Smith caught 4-of-5 targets for 51 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 48-17 win over Tampa Bay. Impact: Smith appeared to be headed for a massive day, when he gave the Ravens a 14-0 lead with his second touchdown of the game early in the first quarter. Unfortunately for the slumping wideout's owners, other receivers hauled in the following three touchdowns, staking Baltimore to a 35-0 lead with 14 minutes left in the second quarter. The Ravens played a conservative game from that point forward, as Joe Flacco finished with just 29 pass attempts, six of which went in the direction of Steve Smith. Torrey Smith's five targets were good for second on the team, and while this was still an encouraging effort, his targets remain a concern. He'll face the struggling Atlanta defense next week, in a matchup that seemingly favors the Baltimore running game.(RotoWire, )
