News: Mundy compiled seven tackles in Sunday's win over the 49ers. Impact: Mundy has turned in identical stat lines for the first two weeks of the season and is the Bears' early leader in total tackles. Among defensive backs, he's still outside the league's top 20 in that category, however, making him safe to ignore in most IDP leagues for the time being.(RotoWire, )

News: Mundy will open the season for the Bears as their starting strong safety, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Impact: Mundy started nine games and appeared as a reserve in the remaining seven regular-season contests for the Steelers last season, accumulating 77 tackles and an interception. It's uncertain if Mundy will be paired with Danny McCray or Chris Conte (concussion) at safety in Week 1, but either way, his lack of playmaking ability might make it difficult for him to attain much relevance as an IDP.(RotoWire, )
