News: Washington coach Jay Gruden attributes Griffin's preseason struggles to his lack of comfort in the new offense, the Washington Post reports. Gruden remains confident Griffin will improve with more practice and repetitions. Impact: While Griffin has struggled during the preseason, it's hard to put a lot of faith in the numbers. News: Griffin completed 5-of-8 passes for 20 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception in Saturday's preseason game against the Ravens. He gained three yards on three carries. Impact: Facing a Ravens team without its top three cornerbacks, Griffin was unable to get anything going. In addition to the pick he threw, he had another called off due to a defensive penalty, and also recovered his own fumble. While he hasn't looked good this preseason, Griffin is surrounded by talented players, and has a promising new coaching staff.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin suffered a thigh contusion in Monday's preseason game, but the ailment isn't expected to be serious, Todd Dybas of the Washington Times reports. Impact: Griffin took his fair share of hits Monday, as he was sacked once and carried the ball four times for 24 yards. The 24-year-old managed to complete 6-of-8 passes for 112 yards and threw one interception on the evening. Once again, the main story with him was his inability to protect himself from absorbing hits, so his health and stability will continue to be of concern for owners that draft him. After the game, Griffin insisted that he was fine from a health standpoint, so it seems likely he'll suit up for the Saturday exhibition game against the Ravens, despite the short turnaround.(RotoWire, )
