News: Griffin is slated to wear a cast on his dislocated left ankle for about 10 days, after which he will be re-evaluated, the Washington Post reports. Impact: Beyond that, a precise timetable for Griffin's possible return has not been outlined, though coach Jay Gruden suggested a potential scenario in which the QB's rehab process might run in the four-to-six week range. In any case, while the report offers continued hope that Griffin could return to action later this season, he is still looking at a multiple-week absence, with Kirk Cousins slated to start at quarterback for the team in the meantime.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin did not break any bones when he dislocated his left ankle Sunday and is expected to avoid surgery, the Washington Post reports. Impact: Per coach Jay Gruden, there's still no exact timetable for Griffin's return, but there is some optimism that the QB could be healthy before the end of the season. "We'll know in a few more weeks as far as how long he will be out," Gruden noted Monday. "We're going to send his results of the MRI off to Dr. [Robert] Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist, and get it casted up and we'll just go from there." Moreover, Gruden added that Griffin will definitely not be placed on IR by the team. In the meantime, Kirk Cousins will start at quarterback for Washington, backed up by Colt McCoy.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Impact: Griffin was carted to the Redskins' locker room, after suffering a non-contact injury to his left ankle Sunday. The signal-caller appeared visibly distraught by the injury and was wearing an air cast while leaving the field. With Griffin out, Kirk Cousins will assume quarterback duties for the Redskins.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin was carted off during Sunday's game with an aircast on his left ankle and foot, CBS Sports reports. Impact: Griffin suffered a non-contact injury while making a throw along the Redskins' sideline and was down for quite some time, before being carted to Washington's locker room. Although he was wearing a cast over his left ankle, it's worth noting that Griffin's surgically repaired left knee seemed unaffected by his latest injury incident. Nonetheless, the Redskins' quarterback appeared visibility distraught, while heading to the locker room for further evaluation. With Griffin listed as questionable to return, Kirk Cousins will command Washington's offense until further notice.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin completed 29-of-37 passes for 267 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 17-6 loss at Houston. He rushed for just two yards on three carries, and lost a fumble on a botched handoff attempt. Impact: Griffin was sacked three times, and under considerable pressure, so it's not entirely surprising that he failed to generate much scoring. On the flip side, Griffin has enough talent around him to at least score an offensive touchdown. He should see his numbers improve in Week 2, as he'll head home to take on Jacksonville, which allowed 322 yards and two touchdowns to Nick Foles on Sunday.(RotoWire, )
