News: Coach Jay Gruden confirmed Wednesday that Colt McCoy will start at quarterback over Griffin on Sunday against Indianapolis, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports. Impact: Jones adds that Griffin will serve as Washington's No. 2 quarterback Sunday, and with the team's QB switch now confirmed, it's fair to wonder if we'll see Griffin start another game for the team this season.(RotoWire, )

News: The Washington Redskins plan to start Colt McCoy over Griffin on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. Impact: The Redskins are 0-3 since Griffin returned from an ankle injury and have scored only one touchdown in each of the last two games. The No. 2 overall draft pick was the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2012, but he is 4-14 as a starter since the start of the 2013 season and has struggled in an attempt to transform into a traditional pocket-passer. News: Washington is planning to start Colt McCoy over Griffin on Sunday at Indianapolis, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Impact: According to Schefter's source, Washington is hitting the reset button, although it might not last long. The team apparently still views him as part of the long-term plan, but after Griffin's performance against San Francisco in which he was sacked five times and threw for just 106 yards, McCoy is believed to be an upgrade in the short term. The team is expected to make the announcement official Wednesday when coach Jay Gruden meets with reporters.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Jay Gruden indicated Monday that there's "every intent" for Griffin to start Sunday's game against the Colts. Impact: Griffin is coming off a rocky Week 12 outing, in which he completed 11-of-19 passes for 106 yards in Washington's 17-13 loss to the 49ers, but at this stage, the 3-8 team has no immediate plans to make a QB switch, though such an outcome down the road can't be precluded.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin struggled mightily Sunday, completing 11 of 19 passes for 106 yards in a loss at San Francisco. Impact: Griffin has thrown for an average of 188.0 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions in three starts since returning from injury. He's already been named the starter for Week 13.(STATS, 4:29pm)

News: Griffin had a rough game at San Francisco on Sunday, completing 11-of-19 passes for 106 yards. He also ran four times for 11 yards, was sacked five times, and lost a fumble. Impact: Griffin was under constant pressure, taking a couple of wicked shots, but it was still an ugly performance. The only reason that the Redskins were in the game was due to second-half fumbles by Frank Gore and Carlos Hyde. It will be interesting to see if the Redskins decide to make a change at the QB position, given Griffin's massive struggles since returning from his ankle injury. If Griffin does take snaps under center next week, he could bounce back, at least theoretically, in a potential shootout at Indianapolis.(RotoWire, )

News: If Griffin does not perform more consistently Sunday against the 49ers, he could get benched in favor of Colt McCoy, ESPN reports. An report adds that the Redskins have eliminated many of the privileges Griffin enjoyed as owner Dan Snyder's franchise player, and that head coach Jay Gruden has the authority to bench Griffin if he desires. Impact: This would mark a significant change in the organization's handling of Griffin, who was given plenty of leeway during his first few years to do things that other players were not allowed to do, including bringing his wife to training camp practices and giving his family essentially an all-access pass to the team's facilities. He seems to be on a more even playing field now, and if he continues to struggle on the field, Gruden reportedly has the power (without seeking authorization from Snyder) to turn to McCoy, who sports a 2-0 record as Griffin's sub.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin threw for 207 yards with a TD and two INTs on Sunday against the Bucs. Impact: Griffin has two TDs and three INTs in four games this season and continues to lose fantasy value.(STATS, 12:56pm)

News: Griffin (ankle) completed 22-of-32 passes for 207 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions Sunday against the Buccaneers. He also added a season-high 41 rushing yards on six carries. Impact: Griffin connected with nine different receivers, throwing his lone touchdown to running back Roy Helu, who led the team in receptions and receiving yards, while co-leading in targets. It was another rough performance from Griffin, who has failed to throw for multiple touchdowns in every game he's played this season. And while he posted his highest rushing total of the year, it's tough to see much upside in the short-term, as the Redskins will face off against the 49ers in Week 12, a defense that allowes the fifth-fewest passing yards and the seventh-fewest rushing yards per game this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin (ankle) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers. Impact: Griffin was still listed on this week's injury report, but it's no surprise he'll suit up following a probable designation. He'll look to take advantage of a porous Tampa Bay pass defense that has allowed 277.1 yards per game through the air.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. Impact: Griffin posted a decent line in his first game back last week, but with his game legs back underneath him and a prime matchup against the Bucs on tap, he looks like one of the better quarterback options available in Week 11. Tampa ranks next-to-last against the pass this season.(RotoWire, )

News: Griffin was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Washington's official site reports. Impact: Following Griffin's return to the field in Week 9 and Washington's bye week, an unhinged practice is the best possible scenario for his long-term outlook. He managed 251 yards on 18-of-28 passing, with one touchdown and an interception in the aforementioned contest, but a more fruitful outing could be on the docket Sunday against a Buccaneers defense that has given up at least 300 yards passing and/or two-plus touchdown throws in five of the past seven games.(RotoWire, )
