News: Kuechly registered seven tackles (four solo) in Sunday's loss to Seattle. Impact: Kuechly's seven tackles set a season-low for the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. In fact, Kuechly has now gone consecutive games without double-digit tackles, a rarity by his standards. Nonetheless, Kuechly should be looking forward to Thursday's game against the Saints, who he posted an astounding 24 tackles against in his last meeting.(RotoWire, )

News: Kuechly says he's not angry that he was wrongly ejected in the second half of Sunday's 38-17 loss to Green Bay. Impact: Kuechly said Thursday he's happy he wasn't fined. When asked if he's mad, Kuechly said, "I don't think mad is the right word. I just want to play football and it's hard to watch from the locker room. I'm like, 'Ugh, I want to get out there and play.' But stuff happens."(STATS, 2:48pm)

News: Panthers coach Ron Rivera says the NFL has informed him that Luke Kuechly was wrongfully ejected from Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers for contact with an official. Rivera said Wednesday he received a memo from the league that also indicated the middle linebacker will not be fined. Impact: Kuechly, one of the team's defensive leaders, was ejected late in the third quarter of a 38-17 loss when he shrugged off an official who was pulling him from behind. Kuechly said he thought he was being pulled away by a Packers player. Rivera said he would like to see such calls reviewable by replay officials and hopes the league will consider changing that rule during the offseason. (STATS, 3:54pm)

News: Head coach Ron Rivera said he received word from the NFL that Kuechly should not have been ejected from last Sunday's game against the Packers for inadvertent contact with an official, and he will not be fined, ESPN.com reports. Impact: Kuechly was tossed with 1:39 left in the third quarter after pushing away a referee who was holding him back from a scuffle. It appeared pretty clearly that Kuechly thought it was another player and was trying to get his arm away, but he was ejected nonetheless. Kuechly should be available for this Sunday's game against the Seahawks.(RotoWire, )

News: Kuechly has been ejected in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. Impact: Last season's Defensive Player of the Year appeared to swing a leg in the direction of Green Bay tight end Richard Rodgers as he was getting up after scrambling for a fumble that was recovered by the Packers at the Carolina 37. Kuechly swung his arms and seemed agitated as he was restrained from behind by back judge Steve Freeman.(STATS, 2:42pm)
