News: Morgan caught three passes for 108 yards in Friday's preseason game against the Titans. According to Larry Holder of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Morgan projects as the Saints' sixth wide receiver. Impact: This was exactly the type of performance Morgan needed to ensure his inclusion on the Saints' 53-man roster, as he proved he can once again be an asset as a deep threat with a couple of huge plays down field, including a diving, 53-yard reception. While he will need to work his way up the depth chart in order to have a fantasy impact, Morgan showed two years ago that he can be a play-maker, if given the opportunity, when he led the league with a whopping 37.9 yards per catch.(RotoWire, )

News: Morgan, who has dealt on-and-off with injuries this offseason as he recovers from a season-ending knee injury in 2013, is not listed on any of the top three teams of the wide receiver depth chart in the Saints' unofficial depth chart released in advance of the team's first preseason game on Friday. Impact: While preseason depth charts should be taken with a grain of salt, as the regular season is still nearly a month away, Morgan's failure to crack the depth chart - he's listed under "Other" - may be telling of his shaky roster status. Though he averaged an incredible 37.9 yards per catch (10 catches for 379 yards) in 14 games in 2012, Morgan's odds of making a fantasy impact for New Orleans in 2014, even if he makes the team's final roster, are looking long at this juncture.(RotoWire, )
