News: Reed (hamstring) did individual work during Tuesday's practice, ESPN Radio 980 D.C. reports. Impact: Reed is hopeful of snapping his three-game absence in Week 5 against the Seahawks, although it remains to be seen whether his ailing hamstring will enable him to do so. The second-year tight end ran routes at less than full speed Monday and was limited to individual work Tuesday. As a result, Reed's status remains up in the air, requiring his situation to be monitored on a day-to-day basis. Furthermore, with Niles Paul coming off a concussion, the Redskins are managing a pair of tight end injuries at the moment.(RotoWire, )

News: Coach Jay Gruden said he hopes Reed (hamstring) plays against Seattle on Oct. 6, CSN Washington reports. Impact: It's not clear whether Gruden is planning Reed's return or merely expressing hope. Gruden acknowledged that Reed's hamstring injury was a "bad one," so it's possible that the injury could keep him out a fourth straight game. The Redskins could really use Reed back, though, especially in light of Niles Paul's concussion.(RotoWire, )

News: Reed (hamstring) will not play Thursday against the Giants and is unsure of his Week 5 status as well, the Washington Post reports. Impact: Reed has not played since suffering a hamstring injury in Week 1 and that absence will continue into Thursday's game against the Giants. While Reed is out, expect Niles Paul to maintain the sound fantasy value he's established with 18 receptions (on 24 targets) for 253 yards and one touchdown thus far.(RotoWire, )

News: Reed (hamstring) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's injury report, John Keim of reports. Impact: Since suffering a hamstring injury in the opener, a timetable for Reed's return hasn't really come to fruition. Clearly, beginning the week on the sideline at practice isn't an encouraging sign heading into Thursday's game against the Giants, but expect his Week 4 availability to receive clarity in the interim. During his absence, Niles Paul has performed admirably, racking up 18 receptions (on 24 targets) for 253 yards and one touchdown.(RotoWire, )

News: Reed (hamstring) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Chris Russell of ESPN 980 Washington reports. Impact: Reed has three opportunities to make his presence felt at practice this week, but if he fails to do so by Friday, coach Jay Gruden intends to hold him out once again.
