News: Flacco completed 16-of-23 passes for 180 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's preseason game against the Redskins. Impact: The Baltimore offensive line and running game struggled, but Flacco eventually found success by throwing to Torrey and Steve Smith. Even with Ray Rice suspended for two games, and Bernard Pierce possibly dealing with a concussion, Flacco has a much improved supporting cast from last season. While Owen Daniels (leg) has been a disappointment in training camp, Steve Smith has been better than expected, and Dennis Pitta is back at full health. Just as important as the additions at the skill positions, the Ravens overhauled an offensive line that was perhaps the NFL's worst last season. While all the pieces are in place for Flacco to have a bounce-back campaign, it's hard for fantasy owners to get too excited about a veteran quarterback who has never thrown for 4,000 yards or more than 25 touchdowns in a season. Even if he surpasses expectations, Flacco will likely be no more than a high-end backup in most leagues, given the excellent depth at quarterback.(RotoWire, )
